I am a PhD student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, studying behavioral marketing.

My primary research interest is investigating how people make decisions under uncertainty. For example, how people respond to uncertain savings options when an associated fee is either incorporated into the stated savings or presented separately.

My broader research interests have also led me to investigate topics such as:

  • Numeric estimation — Do people estimate symmetric increases and decreases in numeric quantities?
  • Expertise — How do experts and non-experts assess product attributes? Are experts' abilities overestimated?
  • Morality — In the context of moral policies, how is precommitting judged relative to deciding on a case-by-case basis? Is moral judgment grounded in specific factors or moral "templates"?

I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia before moving into the city to attend the University of Pennsylvania. After earning my BA with honors in psychology and philosophy, I moved to Chicago to join Chicago Booth's PhD program.

Apart from research, my favorite pastimes are hiking, tennis and, when I have the chance, travel (mostly to hike).
